Valencia C.F. Elite Tournament “Diamantis Andronis”

Organization
The municipality of Nafplion and Global Premier Soccer South East Europe are co-organizing the Valencia C.F. Elite Tournament in memory of Diamantis Andronis one of the best footballers in the Region, under the auspices of Ministry of Sports. The participating teams will have the opportunity to meet opponents from different countries and, thus, promote a spirit of multiculturalism and fair play. The place chosen is the city of Nafplion. One of the colorful cities in the world and a top touristic destination due to its old town and cultural heritage.

JAG Winning Sports has partnered with GPS in order to co-operate leading International Soccer Program for Valencia CF in the area of Southeast Europe. In the last eleven years the tournaments, which JAG WINNING SPORTS organized in Argolida, had an international appeal and attracted youth teams of professional clubs from Greece and abroad. From Europe teams like Arsenal FC, Southampton FC, Espanyol, Vitesse FC, Nottingham Forest, , Munchen 1860, Volendam FC and Aspire Academy. From U.S.A., St. Louis Gallanger and Richmond Strikers. From Greece Superleague clubs such as Olympiakos, Panathinaikos, AEK Athens, Panionios, Atromitos Athens, Asteras Tripolis. Furthermore other professional teams from Cyprus, Croatia, Albania, FYROM and Bulgaria have also participated.Like every year the goal of the tournament is to become a reference point and set even higher standards and records in the quality and quantity of the participating teams and talented players.

With archeological monuments of worldwide fame and importance (such as Ancient Epidaurus and Mycenae), and many other places worth visiting, Argolida combines entertainment with beauty, knowledge with adventure, the past with the present. It is not by chance that it is preferred by all nationalities and ages, whilst most visitors revisit again and again, finding every time new stimulus and enjoying new experiences. Why? Nafplion (http://www.nafplio.gr/en/): It is a charming town with a picturesque promenade, old stone houses, town squares and streets full of life. But the most prominent feature is the stone castle that crowns the rocky hill high above the city, as well as the little round fortress (the Bourtzi) that was built in the middle of the harbor. Lodging
All participating teams will lodge in 3* and 4* hotels in Tolo town. This includes four nights stay in triple bedrooms for the players and in double for the team staff (group leader, coach). All rooms have separate beds and full board meals. The hours of the meal will be known to all teams after the organizing committee finalizes the game schedule.
Parents: The parents can follow the team. Otherwise, the organizing committee can book upon request rooms in a variety of 3*,4*,5* hotels in Tolo or Nafplion for the duration of the tournament at discount prices.

Transfer
Access to Argolida area is made by car or bus through the existing highway network. The city of Nafplion is 138 km away from Athens (1 and a half hours drive). Additional transportation by means of public buses is possible from Athens.

Tournament will take place in 5 fields (11x11) of Nafplion Municipal area:
Natural grass:

Trophies
All the participants of the tournament will be given certificates of participation. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams of each group, will be given metals. Cup trophy will be given to the winning teams of each group.

Medical Coverage: During the games, a certified doctor will be present on field. Furthermore nearby the fields at least two Hospitals operate in large cities such as Argos, and Nafplion.
Also, a certified doctor will be available, under request, for every player in each hotel.

Format - Length of play
The tournament will have 3 different age categories:

✔ U17, born in the years 2001-2002 - 11Vs11, 2x30’ – Match Ball size N. 5
✔ U15, born in the years 2003-2004 - 11Vs11, 2x30’ – Match Ball size N. 5
✔ U13, born in the years 2005-2006 - 11Vs11, 2x25’ – Match Ball size N. 4
• We will have 8 teams in each age category.
• Teams in each age category will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams.Each team will face the other three teams once in group stage.
• Play off and plays out stages are going to take place. This way we will guarantee 4 games per team.
• The games are going to be conducted according to the official F.I.F.A and Greek Football Federation regulations albeit the time duration the players substitutions and disciplinary sanctions.
• For any change in the format style each team will be notified well in advanced
• The minimum number of players for each team is 14 and the maximum 20.

Registration

• Every team during the coaches’ meeting on the first day of the tournament will be obliged to submit the passports for all of its footballers who are going to participate in the tournament
• The team director or the Head coach of each club has to submit to the organizing committee before the opening day of the tournament the list of its participant players and have a copy of it in every game
• A football player that is not in the original list or doesn’t have official paperwork (passport) to verify his age will not be eligible to play in any game of the tournament
